Through Conduit Slab Gate Valves

Compact, trunnion-mounted subsea ball valve with top-entry design, supporting high pressure and temperature, with in-line serviceability and SIL3-rated reliability.

ATV’s Subsea Through Conduit Slab Gate Valves are engineered for the most demanding subsea environments, delivering exceptional reliability, high sealing performance, and long service life. Designed for high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, these gate valves feature a forged body and bonnet, a through-conduit design for full fluid passage (full or reduced bore), and bi-directional sealing for consistent performance regardless of flow direction.

The rising stem design supports either standard or reverse-acting operation, with options for downstream sealing or a Double Block and Bleed (DBB) configuration. A robust metal-to-metal sealing system ensures durability, while multiple redundant thermoplastic stem seals and an elastomeric environmental seal prevent seawater ingress. Additional reliability is achieved through a T-shaped stem-to-gate joint, anti-blow-out stem, and back seating in both open and closed positions.

All critical wetted areas are protected with corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) overlay, and the valve design is validated to leading industry standards, including API 17D, API 6A, and API 6DSS. The system supports Safety Integrity Level up to SIL 3 and is field-proven to Technology Readiness Level 7 (TRL7), ensuring long-term, maintenance-free operation.

A wide range of customization options is available, including alternative sizes, pressure ratings, seat skirts, double-valve arrangements, bottom-balanced stems, extended stems, and specialized type-approval or validation testing. Additional project options include PED certification, welded transition pieces, and custom painting.

Typical applications include cluster manifolds, PLEM, PLET, ILS, HIPPS, SSIV, ESDV, riser isolation, capping stacks, export lines, injection systems, and hot-tapping operations. These valves are available in sizes from 2″ to 60″, with pressure ratings up to Class 2500 or 20,000 psi, and temperature suitability from –46°C to 204°C. They are qualified for water depths up to 3,048 m (10,000 ft), with deeper ratings available on request.

Constructed from high-grade materials such as carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex/super-duplex stainless steel, and nickel alloys, these valves can also be tailored to NACE and Norsok requirements. End connections include flanges, compact flanges, studded flanges, butt-welded ends, and hub ends. Actuation options include ROV direct drive, gearbox with ROV or handwheel interface, linear hydraulic actuators, and compatibility with all-electric subsea actuators.
