Thermal Conductivity Analyzers

Compare

Measure the thermal conductivity of a gas compared to a reference gas

Description

Key Components:

  • Reference Cell: Contains a reference gas with known thermal conductivity.
  • Measurement Cell: Contains the sample gas whose thermal conductivity is to be measured.
  • Heated Filament: The sensing element that transfers heat to the gas.
  • Wheatstone Bridge: A circuit used to measure the change in filament resistance, which is related to its temperature.
  • Electronics: Amplifies the signal, processes the data, and displays the results.

Applications:

  • Process Control: Monitoring and controlling the composition of gas mixtures in various industrial processes.
  • Gas Analysis: Determining the purity of gases, such as hydrogen, helium, and argon.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Measuring the concentration of certain gases in air and other environmental samples.
  • Research and Development: Used in various research applications, including materials science and chemical engineering.

Advantages:

  • Simple and Reliable: Relatively simple in design and operation, with high reliability.
  • Robust: Can withstand harsh industrial environments.
  • Low Maintenance: Requires minimal maintenance.
