Pig Diverter Valves
A compact, high-pressure 3-way subsea pig diverter valve designed for reliable pigging operations, deepwater performance, and long service life.
The ATV Subsea Pig Diverter Valve is a compact, field-proven 3-way valve engineered for reliable pig diverting operations in demanding subsea environments. Designed for single-operator use, it provides a robust bi-directional flow path using a rotating diverter system. Its top-entry configuration and bolted bonnet give it strong structural integrity, while the forged or cast body ensures long-term durability under high-pressure conditions.
The asymmetric 3-way design, combined with a 5D bend, enables smooth flow direction for subsea pigging activities. Sealing is achieved through primary metal static seals, supported by metal or thermoplastic stem seals. Additional elastomeric environmental sealing prevents seawater ingress, while scraper rings and contamination preventers protect internal components. An anti-blow-out stem design enhances safety during operation. For corrosion-resistant performance, CRA (corrosion-resistant alloy) overlay can be applied to sealing surfaces or all wetted parts.
The valve is designed and validated according to industry standards such as API 17D, API 6A, API 6DSS, ISO 13628-4, and ISO 14723. It has a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 7, confirming successful field deployment. Built for long design life and maintenance-free operation, it is ideal for applications such as cluster manifolds, PLEMs, PLETs, in-line structures, and other critical subsea installations.
Available in sizes ranging from 2″ to 24″ and pressure ratings up to Class 2500 (20,000 psi), the valve can also be customized for special project requirements. It performs in temperatures from –46 °C to +121 °C and is qualified for water depths up to 3,048 m (with deeper options on request). Quality levels include API 6DSS QL1/QL2 and API 17D PSL-3/PSL-4. Material options include carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex, superduplex, and nickel alloys, with NACE and NORSOK selections available. End connections include flanged, studded, buttwelded, and hub ends. Operators available include ROV direct drive, gearbox-operated interfaces, hydraulic rack-and-pinion actuators, and compatibility with all-electric subsea actuators.
