BX:

The Style BX Ring Type Joint (RTJ) Gasket is a precision-engineered, pressure-energized sealing solution designed exclusively for API 6BX flanges in extremely high-pressure applications, ranging from 2000 to 20,000 PSI. Conforming strictly to API 6A specifications, the BX ring is widely used in demanding environments such as subsea pipelines, wellheads, and high-pressure valves.

Unlike other RTJ types, the BX gasket features a pressure passage hole, allowing equalization of pressure across the sealing faces to prevent pressure lock and improve sealing performance. The BX style is not interchangeable with Style R or RX rings due to its unique geometry and intended use with 6BX flange designs only.

Engineered for metal-to-metal sealing, the BX ring ensures durability, dimensional integrity, and leak-free performance in the most challenging oil and gas environments.
