Description
A Ball Valve (F x F) refers to a female x female threaded ball valve. This means both ends of the valve have female (internal) threads, allowing connection to male-threaded pipes or fittings.
Functionality
Flow Control: Ball valves control the start, stop, and flow direction of fluids (liquids or gases) through a rotating ball with a central bore (hole). When the handle is turned 90°, the ball rotates, either aligning the bore with the pipe (open) or perpendicular to it (closed).
Quick Shutoff: Offers fast on/off control with a simple quarter-turn. Ideal for emergency shutoff situations due to their reliable sealing and quick action.
Leak-Tight Performance: When closed, the solid ball blocks the flow completely, providing tight sealing even under high pressure or high temperature.
Durability: Minimal wear due to limited friction. Ball valves have a long service life and rarely require maintenance.
Versatility: Suitable for water, oil, gas, and other industrial fluids.
Works in both low and high-pressure systems.
Directional Flow: Typically allows bidirectional flow, but some versions may restrict flow direction depending on the seat design.
