The Boarding Shutdown Valve (BSDV) is a high-performance safety isolation valve engineered for offshore oil and gas applications. It is installed at the pipeline riser boarding point to rapidly isolate subsea flowlines during emergency situations or process upsets. Designed as an independent safety barrier from standard Emergency Shutdown Valves (ESDVs), the BSDV provides an additional layer of protection for personnel, assets, and the environment.
