ART

A diverless Subsea Actuator Retrieval Tool (ART) by ATV S.p.A., enabling safe, remote installation and retrieval of subsea actuators, pressure-protection caps, and mechanical operators without divers.

The ART system is a specialized subsea tool engineered to allow diverless installation and retrieval of subsea actuators and related components such as pressure protection caps and mechanical operators. It uses hydraulic lifting through a standard API 17H hot-stab receptacle and connects to actuators using mechanical interlocks that can be operated remotely by an ROV.

The system includes guide posts and soft-landing cylinders to control alignment and landing speed, ensuring safe and controlled operations in both shallow and deep-water environments. It is compatible with multiple actuator designs, including rack-and-pinion hydraulic actuators and helical-spline actuators.

The ART is typically supplied with a heavy-duty offshore parking frame designed to meet DNV-ST-E273 2.7-3 standards. Each unit undergoes Functional Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and the manufacturer provides full technical support from project design to offshore deployment.
