Swing Check Valves
High-reliability subsea swing check valve designed for one-way flow control in piggable pipelines. Rated up to 20,000 psi and 10,000 ft water depth with metal-to-metal sealing.
The ATV SPA Subsea Swing Check Valve is a high-performance, one-way flow control valve engineered for demanding subsea operations, especially in piggable pipeline systems. It ensures automatic reverse-flow protection using a free-swinging clapper and a full-bore, metal-to-metal sealing design that minimizes pressure drop and maximizes flow efficiency.
Built with either forged or cast materials and a bolted bonnet construction, this valve is designed for long-term reliability under extreme pressures and deep-water conditions. It includes welded-in or removable seats, and the sealing surfaces can be enhanced with corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) overlays.
To ensure durability in subsea environments, the valve features elastomeric environmental sealing to prevent seawater ingress. It supports shaft sealing configurations in metal or thermoplastic, making it compatible with additional mechanisms such as dampers or actuators.
The valve meets stringent industry standards (API 17D, API 6A, API 6DSS) and has been field-proven with a large installed base (TRL7). It supports pressures up to 20,000 psi, temperatures from –46°C to +204°C, and water depths up to 3,048 m (10,000 ft). Custom options include special sizes, pressure ratings, pigging-friendly features, lock-open devices, hydraulic dampers, and custom coatings.
