Fisher™ CV500 Eccentric Plug Valve
The Fisher CV500 valve combines the rangeability of the cammed, segmented V-notched ball, with inherent ruggedness in the heavy duty bearings, seals, and body. This combination provides a balance of erosion resistance and pressure control for gas and liquids
The Fisher™ CV500 Eccentric Plug Valve, developed by Emerson, is a high-performance rotary control valve designed for accurate throttling and on/off service in tough industrial applications. With its eccentric plug and rugged construction, the CV500 offers tight shutoff, high flow capacity, and exceptional reliability in processes involving clean, dirty, or viscous fluids, as well as slurries and erosive media. The valve’s eccentric plug design minimizes contact between the plug and seat during operation, reducing wear and friction for long-lasting performance. This design also provides inherently tight shutoff and excellent rangeability, making the Fisher™ CV500 ideal for precise flow control under demanding process conditions. Engineered with a heavy-duty body, replaceable metal seat ring, and streamlined flow passage, the CV500 valve ensures low pressure drop and excellent control accuracy. It is compatible with Fisher™ actuators and FIELDVUE™ digital valve controllers, enabling automated operation and predictive diagnostics through Emerson’s digital ecosystem
Feature of Fisher™ CV500 Eccentric Plug Valve
- The seat ring design self-centers, self-laps, and dynamically aligns with V-notch ball, giving superior cycle life.
 - No special orientation, precision clamping, or repetitive centering of V-notch ball and seat ring is required when tightening the retainer, promoting accurate alignment and easy assembly.
 - Precise contouring of V-notch ball provides a modified equal percentage flow characteristic.
 - Unrestricted, straight-through, flow design provides greater capacity than many conventional globe and rotary eccentric plug valves.
 - Integral valve flanges mate with many different classes of pipeline flanges, satisfying a variety of piping requirements.
 - The V-notch ball cams into and out of the seat minimizing contact with the seat ring for reduced wear and friction.
