Fisher 2052 Spring-and-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator
The Fisher 2052 Spring-and-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator by Emerson is a compact, high-torque pneumatic actuator engineered for precise rotary control of quarter-turn valves. Its spring-and-diaphragm design ensures smooth, accurate positioning and reliable performance in harsh industrial environments.
The Fisher 2052 Spring-and-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator is a compact, high-performance pneumatic actuator designed to provide precise rotary motion for quarter-turn valves such as ball, butterfly, and rotary plug valves. Engineered by Emerson, the Fisher 2052 combines accurate control, high reliability, and ease of maintenance, making it a preferred choice for both throttling and on/off applications in demanding industrial environments. The 2052 actuator’s spring-and-diaphragm design ensures smooth, stable, and linear response to control signals. Its low-friction rolling diaphragm delivers excellent sensitivity and precise positioning, making it ideal for applications requiring accurate process control. The compact and lightweight construction reduces space requirements while providing high torque output for a wide range of valve sizes. Built for versatility, the Fisher 2052 actuator can be direct-mounted to valves using standard ISO 5211 or NAMUR interfaces, minimizing side loading and improving alignment accuracy. The actuator is also designed for seamless integration with Fisher FIELDVUE™ digital valve controllers, positioners, and other accessories, enhancing overall system performance, diagnostics, and reliability. The robust construction materials and protective coatings provide superior corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability in harsh operating conditions found in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, refining, power generation, and water treatment.

Feature of Fisher 2052 Spring-and-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator
- The compact design reduces valve/actuator envelope dimensions leading to greater mounting versatility for both skids and process plants.
 - Allows linkage-less feedback, via a contact-less magnetic array.
 - The clamping of the lever onto a splined valve shaft, coupled with the single pivot linkage, reduces lost motion between the actuator and the valve.
 - The nested spring design requires no bench set.
 - The actuator can be mounted directly onto non-spline shafts, which allows mounting on a wider range of valves.
 - Ability to adjust or change the travel range by 30 degrees in either direction without removing the actuator or the addition of extra parts.
 - All parts in the fail-safe mechanism (made of steel, cast iron, and ductile iron) ensure the actuator will maintain safety integrity in the event of a fire.
 - The actuator/valve assembly action can be converted from push-down-to-open to push-down-to-close, or vice-versa, without additional parts.
